2. Visiting the website and hosting
When you access this website, technical connection data are processed. These may include your IP address, the time of access, the page requested, browser and device information, and the page you visited previously. The hosting provider processes these data to deliver the website, maintain its technical security and analyse errors. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is the secure and reliable operation of the website. Data are deleted when no longer required for these purposes, unless continued retention is necessary in a particular case.

3. Contact and booking enquiries
If you contact us by email or form, we process the information you provide, in particular your name, email address, telephone number and message. For booking enquiries, we also process travel dates, the number of guests and, where provided, your address. We use these data to respond to your enquiry, prepare a booking or perform a contract. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR; for other communications, it is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Form submissions are forwarded to us by email. We delete the data when they are no longer needed, unless statutory retention duties or legitimate legal claims require continued storage.

4. Cookies and CookieFirst
We use CookieFirst to manage and document your consent choices. Technically necessary storage supports the operation of the website and records your selection. We obtain your consent under Section 25(1) of the German Telecommunications and Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG) for non-essential cookies and access to information on your device. Subsequent processing of personal data is based on Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the cookie settings. Further information and the current cookie list appear in the “Cookies” section below.

5. Google Analytics 4
If you consent to the “Statistics” or “Performance” category, we use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland; measurement ID G-YDJPGH3Z9D) to analyse use of the website. Usage data, device and browser information, and online identifiers may be processed. The Analytics script is loaded only after the relevant consent is given. The legal bases are Section 25(1) TDDDG and Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw consent through CookieFirst at any time. Transfers of data to countries outside the European Economic Area cannot be ruled out. Google provides further details at policies.google.com/privacy.

6. Google Maps
A Google Maps map (Google Ireland Limited) is embedded on the home page. It is loaded only after you allow the relevant cookie category. When it loads, your IP address and technical usage data in particular may be transferred to Google. The legal bases are Section 25(1) TDDDG and Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. Information about possible transfers to third countries is provided by Google.

7. Google reCAPTCHA
We use Google reCAPTCHA v3 to protect the contact and booking forms against automated submissions. The service analyses technical information and interactions to produce a risk score; data may be transferred to Google. Our legitimate interest is preventing misuse of the forms (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). If reCAPTCHA stores or reads non-essential information on your device, additional consent under Section 25(1) TDDDG is required. Further information: Google Privacy Policy.

8. Your rights
Subject to the conditions of the GDPR, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. You may object to processing based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for reasons arising from your particular situation. You may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. In North Rhine-Westphalia, this is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (LDI NRW), www.ldi.nrw.de. To exercise your rights, please contact us at the email address above.

Cookies

We use CookieFirst (Digital Data Solutions B.V., Netherlands) to let you decide whether non-essential cookies and services may be used. Your choice is recorded and taken into account on subsequent visits. We process the consent decision to meet our record-keeping obligations under Article 6(1)(c) GDPR; technically necessary storage on your device is permitted under Section 25(2) TDDDG. The CookieFirst overview below provides further information about the cookies used, their purposes and storage periods. You can change your choice at any time in the cookie settings.
